Valentine’s Day is the day we acknowledge those we love. What about the things we love?

I love “Writing.” So, on Valentines Day, I want to let “Writing” know how I feel.

Dear “Writing,”

Thank you for being in my life. You give me a safe space where I can escape. You always let me be me, allowing my true self to emerge unapologetically. You allow my creativity to flow with no boundaries. You don’t judge. You just let me do my thing, and however it turns out, you are always fine with it. I can never repay you for the thousands of hours I have spent under your spell, often unaware of the outside world, shielded from the noise of everyday life.

That’s not to say I do not sometimes get annoyed with you. At times, I want to avoid you altogether. But when I need you, you are always there for me.

Here's hoping you will put up with me for years to come and allow our partnership to continue to grow.

Love always,

Sam
